This work is focused on the security of SIP. It describes basic principles of signaling protocol and it outlines the necessary protocols for voice data transfer. It describes some basic attacks on device working with SIP and provides examples and applications. The last chapter is devoted to descrie the program can be used for penetration testing of devices.
Possibilities of connecting the Asterisk softswitch to the 4th generation PBX

This master’s thesis dissertate the possibilities of the linkage between Asterisk softswitch and the 4th generation private branch exchange. This should create a new generation’s network, so-called NGN, by the convergence of existing telecommunication networks with an IP computer network. This master’s thesis is divided into several chapters. In introduction is described the evolution of the private branch exchanges as well as the principles of the voice digitizing, codecs and signaling commonly used in both TDM and VoIP networks. The main aim of this project is the configuration of Asterisk software exchange for connection with PBX Alcatel 4400 as well as public phone network PSTN. Another goal of this master’s thesis was the configuration of Alcatel PBX and diagnostics of CCS and CAS signaling on E1 interface. In conclusion there are summarized advantages of NGN networks and their utilization in the future.

Prostředky, možnosti a pratická aplikace VoIP

Komunikace je pro člověka neodmyslitelnou součástí jeho života. To stejné platí pro firmu, která takto komunikuje se svými zákazníky, odběrateli a dodavateli a uskutečňuje svůj core business. Pracovníci jedné firmy také mohou komunikovat a řešit problémy bez nutnosti, aby seděli vedle sebe. Telefonování v současnosti není zadarmo a pravděpodobně ani nikdy nebude, ale VoIP technologie jí může rapidně zlevnit a rozšířit i zjednodušit dodatečně nabízené služby. Jako všechno kolem nás má i VoIP své nevýhody. Jsou jimi především bezpečnostní otázky a záležitosti týkající se kvality. Aby uživatel neměl pochyb, je nutné tyto záležitosti náležitě adresovat a již se to v současnosti děje. Implementace VoIP není jednoduchá a musí jí být stálě věnována pozornost odborníků ve firmě, není to věc jejíž využití nepředpokládá žádné další zásahy. Přesto je VoIP technologie, pokud je správně a kvalitně implementována, již v současnosti plnohodnotnou náhradou klasické telefonie. Je dostupná nejen odborné veřejnosti, ale používat jí může prakticky každý. Je hlavně levnou alternativou, ale nesmíme zapomínat na to, že nenabízí jen finanční úspory.
